The North American Council for Freight Efficiency will hold its second "Driving Innovation" meeting in conjunction with the annual meeting of the Calstart Hybrid Truck Users Forum.
There, NACFE representatives will share emerging work of the council, explore future opportunities in freight efficiency and invite interested attendees to become active council participants.

The meeting will be held Sept. 28 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at The Hyatt Regency in Dearborn, Mich.

"Although the council is still less than a year old, the interest we're seeing from the industry is very encouraging," said Michael Roeth, NACFE executive director. "This meeting will provide the entire trucking marketplace a chance to become personally involved in the development and adoption of cost-cutting, environmentally-beneficial technologies and services.

"Anyone from fleet owners who are frustrated with fluctuating fuel prices to technology providers and industry suppliers looking to bring efficiency solutions to market have the opportunity to join a member organization dedicated to addressing these challenges."

Founded from an April 2009 event convened by Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI) to double the efficiency of trucking throughout North America, the NACFE was formed to establish a brand for trusted, industry-accepted information on trucking efficiency solutions.
