Con-way Truckload, a full truckload carrier and subsidiary of Con-way Inc., has opened a driver orientation center in Columbus, Ohio.
The new location adds to the company's network of three others. The new center is meant to reduce travel time and make it easier and less expensive for driver candidates to attend.
In addition to the center in Ohio, Con-way Truckload offers driver orientations at its Joplin, Mo., and Lancaster, Texas, driver terminals, and at a location in Jacksonville, Fla. During the week-long orientation sessions, which are held year-round, driver candidates are interviewed, attend safety training, take their road tests and undergo health and drug screenings. Drivers are paid for successfully completing the orientation program. Con-way Truckload also pays for hotel accommodations.

"This opening benefits both Con-way Truckload and those applying to drive for us - we gain access to a larger community of professional drivers and drivers don't have to worry about the time and money required to complete orientation."
Con-way Truckload is currently hiring over-the-road solo and team drivers. Interested candidates should have a Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) and be willing and able to drive all 48 states and Canada. The company offers a separate program for those drivers with limited experience, such as students.
