AmeriQuest Transportation Services has acquired Cure Leasing & Maintenance, which provides financing solutions and maintenance services to independent contractors and contract carriers.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

AmeriQuest Leasing & Maintenance Inc., a new subsidiary created for the acquisition, will operate as Cure Leasing & Maintenance and will be headquartered in Norcross, Ga.

Greg Jordan will operate as the company's CEO, while Ed Wilkinson will serve as president and chief operating officer.

"The Cure team has built an exciting and powerful offering that complements AmeriQuest's mission to provide value to a company's transportation operation," said Jim Guice, executive vice president of AmeriQuest Transportation Services. "With so many companies focused on compliance with laws surrounding independent contractors, Cure offers a menu-driven approach to complex needs such as administration, maintenance management, and financing."

"When Cure was founded in 2005, the company saw a unique opportunity in the marketplace to develop leasing and maintenance programs for owner operators and contract carriers, where there previously were very few options," said Jordan. "This acquisition will provide Cure a platform to grow and expand its offerings by leveraging AmeriQuest's strong brand, complementary service offerings, financial position, and excellent relationships throughout the industry."
