Dupre' Logistics has formed a joint venture company with Oiltanking, a move that will allow the two to move into dry bulk handling and other refinery service operations.
Oiltanking-Dupre' will combine the assets of Oiltanking's network with Dupre's experience in dry bulk handling.

The dry bulk material handling specialists will be based out of Houston and have the capacity to meet dry bulk needs nationwide. Oiltanking-Dupre' will be structured as a 50-50 joint venture, combining services formerly coupled via client-to-client partnerships.

Both companies will be providing services and support in their area of expertise. Rick Adams has been named vice president of the venture.

Oiltanking is a subsidiary of Marquard & Bahls AG, Germany, a privately owned petroleum company. Oiltanking provides tank storage for petroleum products, chemicals and gases.

Dupre' Logistics, headquartered in Lafayette, La., specializes in handling chemicals, consumer goods, raw materials, Hazmat and finished goods.
