The company plans to keep the Cougar name and continue operations in Peru as a division of Martin Engineering.

"This move will give us complete control over our vibrator quality and delivery," said Scott Hutter, CEO of Martin Engineering. "It will also allow us to quickly design, engineer and manufacture vibrators for special customer applications. Martin Engineering will now be able to more actively pursue worldwide applications for all types of vibrators, especially 12 and 24 volt models used on mobile equipment, which is one of Cougar's strengths."

Cougar designs and manufactures an electric line of single and 3-phase vibrators in a wide range of force outputs. The firm also manufactures piston, ball, ring and turbine pneumatic vibrators and a complete line of hydraulic powered units.

Cougar has a long history supplying 12- and 24-volt DC vibrators specifically for truck and mobile applications, and supplies a broad line of equipment to evacuate material from storage vessels. Air Cannons, Gyro-Whip Bin Cleaning and Power Lance Bin Drill Systems will continue to be made in Peru.
