Crude oil prices were down Monday, as uncertainty over the economic recovery continued to dominate market sentiment, according to reports by Dow Jones.

Crude oil fell 0.1 percent, or 7 cents, Monday to end trading at $71.44 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, Dow Jones said. The publication attributed the decline to investor concerns that oil supplies still outweigh demand. The commodity also moved alongside equities, which saw a rough trading day as well, MarketWatch reported.
