A tornado hit east of Oklahoma City Monday, demolishing a Love's Travel Stop on Interstate 40 at Choctaw Road.

According to Christina Dukeman, spokeswoman, the store's managers on duty and employees managed to move everyone in the store to the beverage cooler or the restrooms. No one was seriously injured.

Many travelers had pulled off the road to seek shelter from the storm at the location.

Dukeman said the first priority is to find jobs for its employees at other locations. Then, the store will work on rebuilding and reopening as soon as possible.
