Less-than-truckload carrier Southeastern Freight Lines is celebrating 60 years of providing transportation services.
The company started out in 1950 with 14 trucks, 20 employees and a $5,000 loan.
The company was founded by W.T. "Toby" Cassels, and it continues to be led by the Cassels family. Today, the carrier is run by W.T. "Bill" Cassels, Jr., and his son, W.T. "Tobin" Cassels III.
"Our company's mindset has always been to serve, and we feel blessed to have that same focus today, after 60 years of business," said Tobin Cassels, president of Southeastern Freight Lines. "We're grateful to our associates, customers and partners whose efforts and dedication helped us reach this point."
