Regional truckload carrier Swift Transportation has penned a three-year deal with Wabash National Corporation, under which Wabash will build 3,100 DuraPlate HD dry vans over the next 12 months.
Wabash will start production on the new units at the end of March.

"Our goal is to continue to offer our customers the most reliable and efficient equipment, so that they experience outstanding overall performance from Swift Transportation," said Richard Stocking, president and chief operating officer of Swift Transportation. "We believe the DuraPlate HD from Wabash National is the best trailer equipment option to help us achieve that goal."

Headquartered in Lafayette, Ind., Wabash specializes in the design and production of dry freight vans, refrigerated vans, flatbed trailers, drop deck trailers, dump trailers, truck bodies and intermodal equipment.
