Meritor Wabco Vehicle Control Systems will conduct a ride-and-drive demonstration of its advanced braking systems for truck operators at the upcoming Mid-America Trucking Show
in Louisville, Ky., on Thursday, March 25, and Friday, March 26.

Fully-equipped demonstration vehicles will be located outside the south wing of the exhibition hall in Louisville for demo. During the demonstration, attendees will see and feel Meritor's active-safety technology for commercial trucks, buses, and trailers, including SmartTrac stability control systems and the OnGuard collision safety system, a new technology designed to detect objects in the vehicle's path and insure the proper following distance between them. Both systems can automatically intervene to slow the vehicle to reduce the likelihood of a rear-end collision or loss of stability.

The program is part of a series of annual, customer-requested demonstrations Meritor Wabco is conducting throughout the U.S. for fleets and dealers.
