Werner Global Logistics has done its part in the Haiti relief effort by transporting medical supplies to Santiago, Dominican Republic, on Wednesday.
The supplies will be delivered to Haiti in conjunction with a medical team led by Dr. Charles J. Filipi from Creighton University.

"It is crucial that these medical supplies made it to the people of Haiti, and Werner Global Logistics is honored to have assisted the relief effort by utilizing our global resources," said Derek Leathers, chief operating officer of Werner Enterprises and president of Werner Global Logistics.

The supplies were loaded onto a Falcon 20, a Werner Global Logistics brokered cargo aircraft. It departed around 3 p.m. from Werner Aviation's hangar in Omaha, Neb., to Cibao International (Santiago Municipal) Airport.

Werner Global Logistics, a licensed U.S. customs broker, also managed the customs paperwork and documentation for the supplies.
