Vector Transport, a freight transport company out of Tupelo, Miss., has developed a new business model to improve the relationship between carriers and shippers.
Under a new freight broker category, Vector has rebranded itself as a Transport company.

The company's new business model includes a 3-Point Certification Program that every carrier must pass in order to ship for Vector shipping clients. Vector has also introduced a $100,000 TIA Performance Certified Surety Bond. In addition, carriers will now be guaranteed payment within 14 days.

"Having experience as both shipper and carrier, I knew the level of service could be improved," said Joe Estess, Vector president. "With Vector Transport, we set out to develop a new business model with an emphasis on long-term relationships, guaranteed shipper and carrier quality, and of course, 14-day carrier payment, which retains the very best carriers in North America."
