TSE Brakes has added the Leland brand to its product portfolio, and will relocate its headquarters from Fresno, Calif., to Cullman, Ala., in an effort to expand its engineering, R&D and customer support capabilities.

Leland's product line will expand TSE's aftermarket line to include brake hardware kits, S-cam's and cam related parts, slack adjusters and air brake valves. As part of the transition, Jason Gerding, former president of Leland Brake & Wheel Parts, will serve as TSE president.

"With 14 years in the transportation industry and a solid understanding of 80/20 business principles, Jason brings strong management skills to the combined operation," said Pedro Ferro, president of the Marmon Highway Technologies (MHT) Undercarriage Group, which includes both TSE and Leland.

Greg Smith, son of company founder Ted Smith, is leaving TSE to pursue other interests. TSE Brakes is an OEM supplier of air brake actuators, offering Ultralife, Omnibrake and Alumiline brands.

The relocation of TSE's headquarters allows the company to work closely with the MHT Undercarriage R&D Center and Testing Facility in Cullman. TSE will also expand its distribution services with the addition of Leland's distribution centers in Dubois, Pa., and Fontana, Calif.

TSE Brakes is a Marmon Highway Technologies/Berkshire Hathaway company. Marmon Highway Technologies (MHT) supports the transportation industry worldwide with a wide range of high-quality products and services.
