The Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA) has unveiled a new online directory for aftermarket training and education.
The Directory of Resources for Industry Valued Education, or DRIVE, allows the industry to easily locate available training and education information, materials and programs.

The initial release of the directory, includes more than 75 participating organizations and more than 300 pages of listings. DRIVE's resources were submitted by manufacturers, distributors, private training organizations, associations, technical schools and other organizations providing training and education to the aftermarket.

The directory uses the Google search format, where users can enter keywords and their preferred training format type, into the search box on the AAIA education and training Web page and generate a list of resources.

"Aftermarket companies have invested in developing training and education resources for customers and their employees," said Kathleen Schmatz, AAIA president and CEO. "Sometimes it is difficult for people to find the information they need to finish a task, make a decision or increase their knowledge to improve their career. DRIVE is designed to make it easier to find the information and tools needed. And, since the directory is in Google format, DRIVE's content will be updated when the participating organizations update their company web sites."

All aftermarket companies are eligible to have their materials and programs listed in the directory. To participate, companies must have a URL to the page or pages of the company web site that go directly to the training and education information. Sales information or material will not be included.
