MacKay has contacted 600 fleets and 200 distributors to examine more closely the reasons behind the market share shifts in heavy-duty distribution over the past 20 years. He will discuss how and why truck fleet management choose their parts and service providers.

This will be followed by a discussion between MacKay, Terry Dotson, president and CEO of WorldWide Equipment, a truck dealer, and William (Bill) Ryan, chairman and CEO of Point Spring & Driveshaft Company, a distributor.

Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week is the largest North American gathering of the independent heavy-duty industry. More than 1,400 managers and executives from 17 countries - including distributors, manufacturers, service providers, educators and media - attended the 2009 conference in Orlando. An even larger group is expected for the 2010 event.
