The Service Specialists Association of Elgin, Ill., recently held its annual convention in Washington, D.C., focusing on business improvement, technical training and industry updates.
Featured speakers at the Oct. 8-11 event included several leading industry executives from around the country.

The convention also gave repair shops and suppliers a chance to mingle and network at the various events and sessions. Some of the networking opportunities occurred at the roundtable discussions, the receptions, the SSA Golf Outing and the suppliers' tabletop exhibits.

On the second day of the convention, Jeff Faubion, director of tire service for TIA, held a session on wheels and tires, which included points on inspection and proper attachment. In addition, Rolf Duerr, regional service manager and Roadranger field marketing at Eaton Corp., presented to the group proper king pin installation and new maintenance approaches.
