During the fourth quarter, Haldex Commercial Vehicle Systems will be moving into a new friction center in Columbia, S.C., which includes new equipment as well as an increase in manufacturing space.

The new facility will provide three times as much manufacturing space, and the company expects it to be up and running by early January 2010.

The company has already upgraded and expanded six of its friction centers, including the Columbia facility. Other new centers include Ontario, Calif., Vancouver, Wash., Grand Rapids, Mich. and Nashville, Tenn. The company's friction center in Little Rock, Ark., is also being upgraded. The Harrisburg, Pa., facility is slated to undergo this transition in late 2010 or early 2011.
