FreightCenter.com, a third-party logistics provider and web-based freight solutions company, has announced a new brokerage logistics division.

This new division strengthens their transportation services offering to include a larger base of carriers and enhanced solutions for truckload, air, intermodal, and international shipments; thus becoming a more all-inclusive, extensive transportation solution for customers and carriers.

After more than 12 years in the transportation industry, the separation and formation of this division is in direct response to customers, as their requests and needs move beyond LTL and branch out towards intermodal, international, and complete supply-chain disciplines. The solution was to announce a formal division complete with an expanded base of carrier relationships and trained experienced account managers skilled at finding end-to-end solutions to meet the needs of customers. This service enhancement allows FreightCenter to add freight transportation specialists and experience continued growth while working in a difficult industry and economic climate.

"Our online quoting system will continue to be the ideal solution for individuals and the more casual shipper," says Matthew Brosious, president and founder of FreightCenter. "With this new logistics division, we will be able to answer the needs of our commercial and corporate customers in a more complete manner - offering full-circle solutions tailored to their individualized and unique needs."

To lead this new division, FreightCenter has hired Ken Cromwell as the new Director of Brokerage Logistics. Cromwell brings a well-rounded wealth of transportation knowledge to his new role at FreightCenter with more than 11 years of experience in the freight and logistics industry. Before beginning this new position, Cromwell worked for Decker Truck Line in various roles moving up to their Director of Business Development in charge of pricing rate structures, customer service, and all sales activity. Before then he was employed with Deaton, Inc. as a freight broker.
