Diversified carrier Con-way has launched a Public Policy & Sustainability blog at www.freightpublicpolicy.org.

The web site includes commentaries by David Miller, senior vice president of global policy and economic sustainability, Randy Mullett, vice president of government relations and public affairs, and special guest bloggers on key issues relevant to the transportation and logistics community in the U.S. and around the world.

The blog aims to provide a platform for discussion on issues and topics related to public policy and sustainability as they pertain to freight transportation and logistics. Recent topics covered include the cap-and-trade debate, the possible extension of the transportation bill, and reducing trucking's carbon footprint. Visitors also have the opportunity to comment on blog posts.

In addition to the blog posts, the site includes links to DOT news, Department of Homeland Security news, and the FMCSA.
