Cascade Sierra Solutions is opening a new Green Truck Center near the Port of Seattle on October 17.

The organization will hold a grand opening event on October 17, featuring speakers from the U.S. EPA Region 10, Washington Department of Ecology, the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency, the City of Seattle and the Port of Tacoma.

The event will also feature new and late-year fuel-efficient trucks on display from local truck dealers. The center will also house EPA SmartWay-verified upgrade equipment, which will be on display permanently. Representatives will be on hand to explain the technologies and answer questions.

The Seattle center aims to upgrade or replace the aging fleet of port trucks in the Puget Sound area to meet the goals of the Northwest Ports Clean Air Strategy. Guest speakers at the grand opening represent the key partnerships involved in this mission.
