Dupre Logistics has opened a new terminal in Birmingham, Ala., with 13 employees and four trucks, and expects to double the location's resources by the end of 2010

. The terminal facility, an expansion of its energy distribution service group, will be responsible for the transportation of gasoline, diesel and biofuels.

"Our team is excited about the expansion into Alabama," said Jim Butler, director of operations of energy distribution services at Dupre. "We welcome the opportunity to serve this region of the country more fully in addition to our operations out of Jackson, Miss., and Nashville, Tenn."

Dupre Logistics, headquartered in Lafayette, La., provides site and private fleet services and strategic capacity services in addition to its energy distribution services.
