State and U.S. Department of Transportation representatives will present on truck technology programs during the first Annual Meeting of the Trucking Industry Mobility & Technology Coalition, coming up on October 6 and 7
. The session will cover such technology programs as truck parking, on-board safety systems, truck productivity initiatives and truck-only lanes.

During an afternoon session, the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, the national association of state departments of transportation, will provide reauthorization plans for the nation's next transportation bill.

The event will also feature of a review of the U.S. DOT's new "Intellidrive" program, which links vehicle technologies with roadside safety and productivity systems. The TIMTC staff will update attendees on its trucking technology compendium, a searchable online system for identifying existing and emerging technologies that exist within the trucking industry or related government agencies.
