The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration will present a webinar looking at the latest crash statistics for trucks and buses
. "National Truck and Bus Crashes: First Look at 2008 Data," as the webinar is called, will be held on Aug. 26 at 1 p.m. Eastern time.
The webinar will focus on the 2008 large truck and bus crash data from the FMCSA and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, released in July. The discussion will emphasize the changes from previous years, including the drop in truck crash-related deaths and injuries, the decline in truck driver deaths, the rise in motor coach deaths and the decrease in truck crash rates measured against FMCSA's goals.
The webinar will last about one hour.
