The American Trucking Associations has created three videos to help educate people on its 18-point safety agenda.
Aimed at members of the media and the public, the videos provide a concise, visual way to learn about the 18 policies and the effects of their implementation.

The videos feature Bill Graves, ATA president and CEO, Barbara Windsor, safety task force chair, Dave Osiecki, ATA vice president of safety, and Jim Tipka, vice president of engineering, discussing the initiatives.

"Our safety initiatives contain lessons for all highway users, and these videos will help car and truck drivers alike be safer on the road," said Windsor.

The video series includes an overview video, which offers a synopsis of the trucking industry's commitment to safety and the three areas on which ATA chose to focus when developing the policies. Two other videos, "ATA Safety Recommendations to Improve Driver Performance" and "ATA Recommendations to Make Vehicles and Motor Carriers Safer," go into greater detail about each of the policies.

The videos are available on the ATA's Safe Trucks webpage and on the ATA Channel of Big Truck TV.
