Volvo Trucks has named M&K Quality Truck Sales as its U.S. Dealer of the Year for 2008 and Beaver Truck Centre as Canada Dealer of the Year.
The dealers were singled out for their performance in new truck and parts sales, Volvo engines, customer service and investment in facilities, according to Volvo.

The Byron Center, Mich.-based M & K Quality Truck Sales has been a Volvo Truck dealer since 2002 under the leadership of Ron Meyering, dealer principal. The Byron Center facility was built in 2003, housing 21 service bays and about 60 employees.

The Winnipeg, Manitoba-based Beaver Truck Centre was Volvo's choice to represent the Canadian market. The dealership, which has 14 service bays and more than 70 employees, has been a Volvo dealership since 1996 under Barry Searcy, dealer principal. The facility has won several distinctions from Volvo over the years for sales and service.

"Our dealers are on the front lines every day, making sure our customers have the trucks, parts and service they need to drive success," said Per Carlsson, president and CEO of Volvo Trucks North America. "It is a pleasure to recognize the outstanding work of our top-performing dealers and the example they set for customer support."
