Con-way Freight driver Mary Kile was honored for achieving the 2 million accident-free miles -- the second woman at Con-way to do so.

A resident of Broken Arrow, Okla., Kile serves as a driver sales representative for Con-way, and has been racking up the miles since 1989. Kile reached the million-mile mark in 1999.

"Mary Kile's impressive accomplishment highlights the personal and professional commitment to safety of those of our employees who go behind the wheel of a truck every day, and who make it their business to demonstrate superior safety performance on the highways, in our service centers and at our customers' facilities," said John Labrie, president of Con-way Freight.

Kile started driving professionally while serving in the Marine Corps from 1982 to 1988, prior to joining Con-way. Her route takes her from the Sapulpa, Okla., service center, where she is based, to Marshfield, Mo., a round trip of 432 miles.

Over the company's 25-year history, more than 90 have driven 2 million miles accident-free.
