Dover Industrial Products, the parent company of Rotary and Chief Automotive Technologies, has formed a Vehicle Service Group in an effort to enhance vehicle service and repair as well as leverage scale and technology.
Rotary, a manufacturer of vehicle service and storage lifts, will be included in the new group. The group will also include Chief, which manufactures vehicle frame pulling and anchoring equipment, computerized frame measuring systems and comprehensive vehicle specification data for the worldwide collision repair industry. Parent company Dover Industrial Products serves markets including aerospace, construction, automotive service, energy, utility and waste management.
The Vehicle Service Group will be based in Madison, Ind., Rotary's current headquarters. Chief will also relocate to Madison from its Grand Island, Neb., location.
The new group will be a blend of Chief's product portfolio, service philosophy and training capabilities and Rotary's family of lift brands. The creation the group will also allow the companies to further expand into the collision repair market.
