Manac acquired certain assets of defunct Trailmobile Canada as part of the company's asset liquidation process during the first week of May.
Assets purchased from Trailmobile, which announced bankruptcy in April, included production equipment and raw materials inventories.

Trailmobile, which manufactured dry van semitrailers, shuttered operations in mid-December.

Manac did not purchase any land or buildings as part of the deal. The equipment will be used at the company's four North American facilities, which are located in Saint-Georges and Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, and Oran and Kennett, Mo. Raw materials inventories will either be resold or integrated into the normal course of operations.

Manac is the largest semitrailer manufacturer in Canada and the seventh largest in North America, according to the company.
