WSE Transportation, LLC announced that driver James Loveland of Mobile, Ala. was named the Truckload Carriers Association Driver of the Year.
According to TCA, "Loveland received the prestigious award based on his excellent safety record, unblemished work history and involvement in the community and industry."

Loveland joined WSE Transportation in 1998 and has logged more than 1.6 million accident-free, truckload miles. WSE Transportation's President Chris Kozak said, "Loveland was an excellent choice for the award. He possesses qualifications which distinguish him as not only a great truck driver, but also as an ambassador of our industry. His technical expertise, performance of his duties and sense of citizenship are without equal in the rich 70 year history of our company and qualify him as a great candidate for this award."

WSE is the only trucking company Loveland has driven for and he's been accident free his entire driving career.
Loveland is an Air Force veteran and a former small business owner. Kozak added, "James is known for his impeccable safety record, his ability to deliver freight onbtime, all the time, and the way in which he takes care of his company equipment. His technical ability and performance of his duties are without equal."

In addition to his career, Loveland has a commitment to civic volunteering. He was a first responder in 2005 when Hurricane Katrina hit the Mississippi Gulf Coast, where he served for four consecutive months in the relief effort. When Hurricane Ike hit in 2008, he was again one of the first to respond.

Loveland spoke of his commitment to volunteerism and explained its importance. "You've got to put something back. You just can't be taking everything. You've got to put something back into the community, put something back into life and put something back on the earth and try to make it a better place for the people that you leave behind."

Loveland was awarded a new, Cummins-powered Dodge Ram pickup truck, $3,950 in truck stop gift cards, $2,750 in cash, a TagHeuer Swiss Avant-Garde men's watch and two roundtrip airline tickets to anywhere in the continental U.S.
