Averitt Express is expanding its asset-based truckload coverage to include Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and New Jersey.

With the opening of the new states, Averitt now provides asset-based coverage for truckload shipments to 25 states in the South and Midwest. Its Integrated Services team provides coverage of the other 25 states and Canada through the use of partner carriers. Their transportation fleet includes more than 1,500 road units dedicated to truckload transportation.

The expansion was made possible by the opening of new domiciles in Wichita, Kan; Davenport, Iowa; Des Moines, Iowa; and Kansas City, Mo., along with the addition of truckload units at Averitt's newly constructed Winchester, VA service center. The openings will allow Averitt to position more trucks in the new states to respond quickly to localized demand.
