Paccar Vice Chairman Thomas Plimpton will be a featured speaker at Heavy Duty Dialogue next month.


A 30-year veteran of the industry, Plimpton brings an extensive background to the Heavy Duty Dialogue audience, including assignments in three Paccar divisions in the UK and the U.S. Plimpton's address will feature Paccar's view of the future of the commercial vehicle industry from a global manufacturer's perspective.

Newport Communications, publishers of Heavy Duty Trucking, Heavy Duty Aftermarket Journal and Truckinginfo.com, is sponsoring Plimpton's speech. Heavy Duty Dialogue '09, a business conference for executives in the global and domestic commercial vehicle supplier industry, will be held at the Rosen Centre Hotel and the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla., on Monday, Feb. 16, 2009. HDD'09 immediately precedes Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week '09.

The HDD'09 program content will also include coverage of major issues such as a legislative and regulatory discussion, a CEO panel on mega trends and strategy, an industry forecast defining the near and long term future for the industry, a high-level presentation on U.S. energy policy, economic and environmental sustainability, and a discussion on the "developing storm" of a generationally diverse workforce.
