The Commercial Vehicle Solutions Network will host its annual 18-wheel Pinewood Challenge in Orlando, Fla., in conjunction with Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week '09.
It is open to all HDAW '09 attendee companies. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place winners in both the Pinewood Derby Race and Concours D'elegance.
"I'm sure this year's event will produce some high level competition, excellent networking and even a few laughs," said Angelo Volpe, executive vice president of CVSN.
Marc Karon, HDAW '09 co-chair and president of Total Truck Parts, has challenged his co-chair Joe McAleese, president and CEO of Bendix CVS, to a "One Race Distributor/Supplier Smack Down."
The Pinewood Challenge will be part of an all-industry reception at HDAW on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009, 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. in the Orange County Convention Center.
