MCT Transportation of Sioux Falls, S.D., a truckload carrier of general commodities for products requiring refrigerated services and dry goods, recently expanded operations to include a new West Coast produce division.

"This is an exciting development for us," said Chris Swain, MCT West Coast sales director. "Our employees entered into this with knowledge of the market and that has contributed to our success. To date, we're moving close to 100 loads each week from the West Coast and still expanding. The MCT Produce Division has been well received by our clients."

With the new division, MCT has incorporated new lanes of service moving produce outbound of California, Arizona, Oregon, Washingont, South Texas, Florida and Georgia. MCT is a 100 percent owner operator company. With the addition of MCT's new West Coast produce division, the company plans to sign on more drivers to meet client needs.
