Carrier Logistics Inc. announced that attendance at its FACTS annual user group conference held in White Plains, N.Y., doubled from the past three years.
Users of the freight management system came from across North America to attend a free two-day training conference.

"In this slower economy, we are seeing carriers and other transportation companies looking to invest more in technology as a way of keeping costs down and improving their productivity and service to their customers," said CLI vice president Ken Weinberg.

This year's conference focused on recent enhancements to the FACTS system - particularly in the dock management function and rating and billing capacity - and included expanded work stations where users could immediately practice new training and techniques.

The FACTS system is designed to be a functional and flexible software system for the transportation industry. It currently manages hundreds of thousands of shipments daily for LTL truckers, package couriers and other transportation companies around the world. The software automates freight operations and back-office financial functions for users.
