Doonan Specialized Trailer of Great Bend, Kan., announced the acquisition of assets of Chaparral Manufacturing.
Chaparral has been producing a line of all-aluminum platform trailers in Moundridge, Kan., since 1986.
"The addition of the Chaparral brand allows us to provide our customers with a complete product offering of all-steel and all-aluminum flatbeds, drop decks, and double drop trailers," said Elgen Reynolds, co-manager of Doonan Specialized Trailer.
Doonan Specialized Trailer is in a niche market of highly specialized platform trailers, and its product lines include custom flatbed and drop decks, oilfield trailers, boat trailers, extendables, and double drops.
