Citation Corp. has been awarded a long-term supply contract with Daimler Trucks North America.
Under the contract, Citation supplies Daimler Trucks North America with engine brackets, chassis and suspension components for heavy duty and medium duty trucks manufactured under its Freightliner brand.
The engine brackets, chassis and suspension components are manufactured at Citation's Biscoe, N.C., and Columbiana, Ala., facilities. Citation plants located in Lufkin, Texas, and Marion and Brewton, Ala., provide secondary manufacturing support to the Biscoe division.
Production of the parts began in the first quarter of 2008 and are being shipped to all Daimler Trucks North America's assembly plants in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
