Truckload Carriers Association announced that two of its members - Cimarron Express of Genoa, Ohio, and M & M Cartage Co. Louisville, Ky., have received silver level World Excellence Awards from the Ford Motor Company.

The World Excellence Awards are Ford's highest award of recognition for both its production and non-production suppliers. The Awards are presented to companies that embrace Ford's vision of profitable growth, teamwork and a better world, while also helping Ford to develop high quality, lower cost vehicles.

Cimarron Express and M & M Cartage were the only two companies recognized for excellence in providing transportation services.

"It is my understanding that Ford selected only 47 suppliers this year, out of the hundreds of companies it works with to produce and distribute its vehicles across six continents," said Ray Haight, TCA's chairman and the executive director of MacKinnon Transport, Inc., Guelph, Ontario, Canada. "For both of the transportation winners to be TCA members - well, let's just say that it makes us very proud. We hope their hard work inspires other TCA members to achieve the same levels of commitment with their own clients."
