McCoy Freightliner of Portland, Ore., opened for business on Nov. , under new ownership and management. Formerly named Portland Freightliner, the business was purchased by new owners Robert S., R. Michael, and Jack McCoy.
Robert McCoy has been a vice president at one of the largest truck dealerships in the U.S., and has nearly 30 years of experience in the trucking industry. He will serve as managing principal. Mike and Jack McCoy are currently owners of Truck Country, a network of 12 Freightliner/Sterling/ Western Star dealerships in Iowa and Wisconsin, and one of the top three Freightliner dealers in the U.S. The dealership was previously owned by Freightliner LLC headquartered in Portland, Ore. Freightliner LLC produces and markets Class 3-8 trucks and is a part of Daimler Trucks.
McCoy Freightliner of Portland will continue to offer new heavy- and medium duty Freightliner trucks, Sprinter vans and Western Star trucks, as well as a wide variety of used trucks. The full-service dealerships, at three locations, also include a state-of-the-art service department for all makes and models, complemented by an extensive parts inventory and body shop.
