The National Trailer Dealers Association (NTDA) opened the door of opportunity a little wider for Kyle Wiehe, the college freshman who received this year's $7,500 NTDA scholarship.

The announcement was made during the 18th Annual NTDA Convention, held earlier this month at the Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort in Tucson, Ariz.
Kyle is the son of Byron and Karen Wiehe. Byron is assistant service manager with Florida Utility Trailers, Inc. in Apopka, Fla.
Kyle earned a 3.86 grade point average in high school while participating in various activities, including theatre, Boy Scouts, varsity baseball, science fairs and band. He is attending Lipscomb University (Nashville) and plans to major in biochemistry.
Bridgestone/Firestone North American Tire LLC underwrites the $7,500 scholarship.
Applications for the 2008 Scholarship Program will be available in April 2008 at www.ntda.org, or by calling NTDA Communications Director Gwen Brown at (800) 800-4552.
