Lincoln College of Technology has partnered with the non-profit Hire A Hero program to award academic scholarships to the military community.
Lincoln College of Technology's parent company,
Lincoln Educational Services, is awarding up to 122 scholarships to active and transitioning military personnel, veterans, National Guard Members, Reservists, spouses and their dependants at its schools across the country.
Scholarships that are awarded can be used to pay for training in the following programs at Lincoln College of Technology: Automotive Technology, Diesel Technology, Electronics Systems Technology, Collision Repair and Refinishing Technology.
"Lincoln College of Technology is honored to be able to provide this small service as our way of saying thank you to the families of the outstanding men and women doing so much for our country by serving in the armed forces," said Timothy Campagna, Lincoln College of Technology campus president. "We hope in some way this effort on our part can assist families while they wait for their loved ones to return home."
All United States American service members, veterans and dependents are encouraged to apply for the scholarships. The application process involves registering on the Hire A Hero web site for free at www.hireahero.org and uploading a written essay or short video. All applications are due on or before Aug. 17 and winners will be announced by late August.
