Hino Trucks Reaches New Dealer Milestone in the U.S.
has gone from 84 U.S. authorized dealers to its current total of 150, an increase of 56 percent in less than three years. In that time, Hino has sold more than 16,000 Class 4-7 light- and medium-duty trucks.
"Due to our sold-out situation last year, we were limited to the number of new dealers we could add," said Debbie Morello, dealer development manager for Hino Trucks. "Our plan for our 2007 fiscal year is to add dealer points in 35 priority markets, giving us a dealer point in each of the top 150 medium-duty markets in the U.S."
Hino Motors Sales U.S.A. Inc. is the Detroit-headquartered distribution arm of Hino Motors Ltd.. based in Tokyo, Japan. The trucks HMS sells in the U.S. are assembled in Long Beach, Calif. HMS also operates a National Parts Distribution Center in Southaven, Miss. Toyota owns controlling interest of Hino Motors Ltd.
