"This certification illustrates our commitment to uncompromised safety, quality and customer satisfaction," said Mike Gottschalk, general manager of Hendrickson Auxiliary Axle Systems. He commended the efforts of all axle employees in their performance and dedication to the high standards that brought this recognition to the division.
ISO/TS 16949 is an international quality management system that aligns existing American (QS-9000), German (VDA6.1), French (EAQF) and Italian (AVSQ) automotive quality systems into a single standard thus eliminating the need for multiple certifications.
The certification stresses continual improvement, emphasizes defect prevention and the reduction of variation and waste in the supply chain. ISO/TS 16949 certification acknowledges that the supplier has the necessary systems in place for design and development, production, installation and servicing of automotive-related products.
Hendrickson Auxiliary Axle Systems manufactures a full line of steerable and fixed lift axle suspensions for trucks and trailers including the Composilite FBC, Composilite ST and Composilite FX; Paralift and Paralift Ultra; HLM-2 and the HLR Series.
