Illinois-based Central States Trucking has purchased a specialized Great Dane drop-frame roller van trailer to secure ground transportation at an even higher level. This trailer will be primarily used for its growing air freight
division to better secure freight and protect products from the elements.
"We are excited about this new trailer since it will provide additional security for our customer's products and enhance our growing air freight division, said Doug Grane, president of Central States Trucking.
Expanding its air freight division is a critical element since Central States Trucking is located near O'Hare International Airport, a hub of freight activity. Central States Trucking is hoping that this investment will differentiate itself from other companies by placing a premium on securing customer's freight throughout the year.
Central States Trucking recently purchased 20 acres at a Burlington Northern Santa Fe Logistics Park Chicago (BNSF-LPC) to develop a satellite office to better service its customers. Central States Trucking is expected to build an office, hire a staff and employ 15-20 drivers.
