Bandag Inc. has entered into supply agreements with five additional North American retread manufactures for its Continuum brand off-the-road retread materials.

Four of these OTR retread tire manufacturers will supply both Bandag franchised dealers and non-Bandag dealers, finished product using the retread materials manufactured by Bandag. New agreements have been made with Brahlers Truckers Supply of Jacksonville, Ill.; J&M Tire International of Oshawa, Ontario; McDonald Tire Co. of San Antonio, Texas; Southwest Retread Center of Albuquerque, N.M. Franchised Bandag dealer, W.W. Tire Service of Bryant, S.D., has signed an agreement to manufacturer with Continuum for their local-market customers.
"Off-the-road fleets continue to choose retread tires as a solution to the global shortage for new tires and as a means for getting the most out of the investment they've made in their tire casings," says Mike Poirier, North American OTR sales manager, Bandag. "The addition of these manufacturers to our North American distribution network is important in meeting the needs of fleets in construction, mining, logging, utility and marine port industries, which have been greatly impacted by the new tire shortage."
Bandag launched the Continuum brand OTR retread materials in 2005 with innovative serpentine tread designs, which advanced the precure application process. At a price somewhere between 40 to 70 percent of the cost of a new tire, a retread represents a tremendous value for fleets. OTR retread materials are manufactured by Bandag and supplied by agreement through OTR retreaders.
