The deadline to register is Tuesday, March 14, for a webinar on Lane Departure Warning Systems (LDWS), sponsored by the FMCSA and scheduled from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. EST on Tuesday, March 20.

Truck fleets will hear several motor carrier safety directors share their real-world LDWS experiences with their peers. Motor carrier representatives can simultaneously listen and watch the live webinar from any location in the country that has Internet and telephone access.
The American Transportation Research Institute will also be participating on the webinar, along with Dean Newell, vice president of Safety for Maverick Transportation and Jerry Waddell, director of safety for Cargo Transporters. Both fleets have operated hundreds of LDWS on their fleets, and will talk candidly about the role of LDWS in improving safety.
This LDWS webinar will be the first of several webinar events that will highlight industry experiences with on-board safety technologies. Future webinars will review Rollover Stability Systems and Collision Warning Systems.
To register for the webinar, send an e-mail to FMCSA_Host@dot.gov and include the words "LDWS Webinar" in the subject line.
Confirmation notices will be emailed within 24 hours of registration, and will contain the web address, phone number, and other relevant information. Registrations, which will offer preference to motor carriers, will be accepted for up to 150 people. In the event that interest exceeds capacity, future sessions may be offered.
For technical questions on the webinar or special accommodations, contact the conference coordinator at (202) 385-2375.
