LTL system operators from throughout North America will learn best practices for the Carrier Logistics Inc. (CLI) FACTS system, a comprehensive freight management solution, at the CLI User Group Conference
April 19-20 at the Crowne Plaza in White Plains, N.Y.
Technology users, as a rule, use only a fraction of their system's features. At the conference, expert trainers will educate operators on using the system to its fullest capacity, increasing cost savings and streamlining business practices.
After hearing a keynote address on managing an effective IT department by Denis Goulet, vice president of information technology, Progress Software, conference attendees will learn about such things as accounts receivable collection tools, using the mouse-driven system, digital mapping, auto-rating tips, a FACTS web preview, and the ABCs of costing.
Other sessions at the content-rich conference will cover how the FACTS system can improve billing accuracy and increase rating success, auditing techniques, EDI transfers and cash flow procedures.
In addition, instructors will talk about deploying the mouse-driven system, OpenEdge replication management, using Crystal Reports, and how to work with CLI's help desk. System users will have the opportunity to ask questions and share experiences, and CLI will receive feedback to help in developing modifications to the FACTS system.
The FACTS system is designed to be a functional and flexible software system specifically for the transportation industry. The system manages hundreds of thousands of shipments daily for LTL truckers, package couriers, and other transportation companies around the world. The software automates freight operations and back-office financial functions for users.
