The American Council of Frame and Alignment Specialists (ACOFAS), has scheduled its latest Technician Training clinic, to be held May 2-3 at the Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems training facility in Huntington, Ind.
The focus of this clinic will be the ABS brake system, ABS 6 Driver Assist Module, and the ESP (Electronic Stability Programming).
These new systems all are affected by modifications to the suspension system - some as major as changing suspensions, others as minor as changing steer-axle camber and caster.
Classes run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days, featuring classroom discussion as well as actual hands-on demonstration and trouble shooting of the units.
As with all ACOFAS clinics, the fee schedule is $200 for each regular member technician; $250 for each associate member's technician; and $300 for any other technician. This class is limited to 22 technicians and will fill fast. ACOFAS members have priority until April 15, after which the remaining positions will be given out on a first-come basis.
