The Missouri Motor Carriers Association recently selected Harvey Williams as Missouri Driver of the Month for December 2006. Representatives from the U.S. Department of Transportation, the State Highway Patrol,
the Missouri Department of Transportation and the Division of Highway Safety selected Harvey for this award after reviewing nominees from several carriers.
Safety plays a significant role for the judges in determining the best candidate for this award. Williams, who has been trucking for 48 years, has an outstanding safety record. He has driven 6.7 million miles without a single accident. Williams is an independent contractor who leases a truck through Prime Inc., a carrier based in Missouri.
