Decker Truck Line Inc. has named Mike Juhl as the January 2007 Driver/Owner-Operator of the Month for the Flatbed division. Juhl has been at Decker Truck Line for four years and lves in Somers, Iowa with his family.
Selected as Driver of the Month for the Reefer/Van division was Rodney Knapp, a 16-year driver with Decker Truck Line. For the last three years he has been one of a group of three drivers that hauls animal pharmaceutical products on a dedicated route. Rodney and his wife reside in Charles City, Iowa.
Drivers and owner-operators are nominated each month by their dispatcher, selected on their overall performance within all areas of the company, including operational productivity, safety record, care of equipment (including idle time), payroll and billing and customer service. All drivers and owner-operators who are selected as Drivers of the Month will be eligible to be chosen as Driver/Owner-Operator of the Year.
