Maverick Specialized, a division of Maverick Transportation LLC, announced a pay raise that will go into effect Jan. 28 for current and potential drivers. “This pay raise is being instituted to recognize specialized drivers
for the complexity of work performed in hauling industrial glass,” said Dave Cobb, Maverick Specialized’s director of operations.
Under the new plan, Maverick Specialized will offer starting pay of 40 - 41 cents per mile for company drivers with experience and starting pay of 37 - 40 cents per mile in both its student and trainee programs. This constitutes 1- to 2-cent per mile increase across the board. “Our goal is to offer the best driver compensation plan in the glass-hauling business,” said Maverick President Stephen Selig.
Along with the pay increase, Maverick Specialized will continue to offer an accessorial pay package including quarterly fuel bonus opportunities, detention pay, referral bonus, complete medical benefits, and more.
